Summary

The fourth RSA Europe College for PhD students and early career researchers brings together researchers in their early career, high-profile researchers and policy experts to present latest research, policy developments and insights on spatial disparities, regional growth and decline. Mixed with sessions on methodologies, professional development focussing on academic writing, publishing and career development, a site visit to local regional development projects, socialising and networking, we warmly invite applications from current PhD students and early career researchers.

The 2023 Summer College will take place in person at the Gran Sasso Science Institute in L'Aquila, Italy.

The Summer School is funded and organised by the Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI) and the Regional Studies Association's European Foundation (RSA Europe) which allows us to offer participation to successful applicants free of charge.

Located in central Italy, the school welcomes professors, researchers and students selected internationally following the best graduate schools standards worldwide.

RSA Europe operates at European level and works with its European partners to facilitate knowledge exchange and mobilisation i.e. RSA Europe is a key partner at the annual EU Regions Week and organises in partnership with ERSA and AESOP the University and Master Class programmes.
